Sad, Sega should have signed up a deal with Apple, Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo to allow their games to be played on one of their machines.

They have. They develop games for all platforms. Or did you mean have cartridge slot on the console? lol that would be so weird.

Surely for that price, it'd be easier just to bay a console and a shed load of games?

The thing is though, this is a new fully working system. Buying a used mega drive might not last long. Since mega drives are no longer in production, they probably don't have much life left in them before they break. Thats how I see it.
