New Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II - The perfect camera???

Yeah very little between MFT and APS now. Makes me a bit happier with my pre order.

My part ex of EM5 Mark II plus grip and my 75mm F1.8 gets me £1000 off the new body so I am a bit happier again with that.

Once I have sold my drone I'll only be £300 to £400 short,

lol no chance!

Selling my em5 mark ii body, the grip and the 75mm f1.8 which I dont use although its a stunning lens so be sad to see it go but needs must. Been quoted a part ex price of £1000 in total which isnt bad. Still got 3 genuine Olympus batteries to sell online as they wont buy them so that will get me a bit more.

Selling on Ebay I could probably get a £100 to £200 more, less fees and the risk of being scammed.

Got offered £20 more for my body than I bought it used for (and I bought it with 4 batteries which they only will take one) and was offered £10 more than my grip cost as well. SO cant complain its been cheap ownership for just over a year. Will be taking a £100 hit on the 75mm lens though :(

Might try them on MM nearer the time, you never know.

Got offered more my for my EM5 mark ii body than they offer for a EM1 mark I body as part ex which says a lot.

Then after a few monhts i might part ex my 12-40 pro for the 12-100 and also my 25mm f.18 for the 25mm f1.2

Will leave me with the following set up then

12-100 f4 pro
40-150 f2.8 pro
1.4 teleconvertor
7.5 f3.6 Samyang fisheye
45mm F1.8
25mm F1.2
Set of macro extension tubes

Should have me pretty covered in all areas. :)

Maybe add something in the none fisheye wide angle range at some point.

AGreed. If you buy smart and second hand and swap your bodies quickly and often then you hardly lose anything.

Only thing wrong with that is that this time I am buying a new body and when I come to sell it in three years time when the mark 3 is out I will lose a lot on it no doubt.

Lens, if you buy used or grey import new and buy the quality lens, you normally dont lose out when you come to sell them.

They are being mean on the 75mm as average selling price on Ebay is at least £100 more, pretty much what I paid for it still when I bought mine a year ago.

Too damn right! As soon as I get mine I will see how far i can hand hold it. I wont have the new 12-100 yet. Couldnt afford both, that will have to come later

Money is in the features though. Dof Is more the fine unless you absolutely must have razor thin where the eye is in focus and the cheek isn't which I personally don't like the look off.

Dynamic rang is improved half a stop to a full stop. Okay it will never compete with ff bodies but it's up there with a lot of aps bodies now.

I was miffed at the price to begin with but I suspect all cameras are going to get more and more. Rumour has it the new gh5 is same price.

Not here, Wex dont get theirs till tomorrow so I should have mine for Friday.

Park Cameras are getting their stock today.

Stupidly a small independent camera shop got theirs Monday morning and I know a guy who collected his Monday lunchtime :(

Can't wait to have a play this weekend!!!!!!!

Loving it.

Stunning fast camera in every way and a joy to use. The CAF tracking is like magic and the IBIS is even better than my em5 mark II.

In fact I have taken 1935 shots in two weeks and only took 4000 in 15 months with my old camera!!!!!!!!!

But thats becuase the Pro shot and 18 fps CAF tracking is so easy to rack up the photo count and I have been spending too much time playing in testing out the new features.

For three days my dog had treats thrown for her while I took pics trying to capture it. :)

Is it worth the extra money over the previous models or others? Depends if you need the speed and focus tracking.

I certainly aren't having any regrets so far despite having to sell my old camera plus my 75mm f1.8 and dji phantom 3 to pay for it.

Here's a few straight from the camera jpgs.

I just bought a nearly new one from Aperture, bit reckless as I've still got my Canon system gear:D

:) Those canon lenses work brilliantly with the Metabones convertors on the mark ii esp the speed ones.

If you can live with the size and weight you can end up with some stunning fast lenses on it like the 50mm f1.4 becomes a 35mm f1 lens.

You would get a 105-420 lens so effective 210-840 on the mark ii.

Would also become a f3.5 to f5 as well I think.

Must be somebody put there using on on a meta bones

The 40+150 plus TC combo is a gem of a lens and spends 90% of the time on my body.

I fancy the 12-100 but I have the 12-40 already so not sure I need/want the 12-100.

The lens is nice but ouch at the price. I think I would rather buy the 25mm f1.2.
