New os drive

Looking at getting a 2tb nvme gen 4 for os drive is the Samsung 980 Pro still decent enough or would I be better off getting latest Samsung 990 Pro or wd 850x thanks

You could also look into Hynix P41 as another option.

Thanks for the reply is there a preference or are they all about equal been looking all day at different ones and they all seem to be much the same apart from 980 as that's a bit older drive

For an OS drive, I'd just make sure it has DRAM and uses TLC. 980 Pro or WD SN850X are both fine, whatever is a good price. Other drives I'd consider: KC3000, P5P, Firecuda 530, P44 Pro

I have the Samsung 980 and it's great, nice and fast. Samsung make great quality products and mostly don't disappoint.

Thanks guys was going to get the 980 originally but saw the 990 and wd sn850x and noticed they're newer
