New Passport Application Time

Hi,

Has anyone recently applied for a full new adult passport that involves the interview? I'm trying to get an idea of real world time-scales for the whole application process.

Direct.gov advise 6 weeks and it's required in pretty much exactly 6 weeks. Is this likely to be possible or Is it often quicker/longer?

Well, whether or not it takes 6 weeks I'd put the application in now! You need to either way.

Make sure you choose all the expedited options (check and send or even priority) you can afford.

You can always make an appointment, pay some more and get it same day.

I know there is an office in Newport, don't know about anywhere else.

As far as I know yes. Best to ring them and find out.
