Greetings and salutations

I hope you are all keeping safe and doing well.

I was wondering if I could ask you PC build pros for some advice :)

My brother has £600 and I would like to help him build a new PC, we are after a MB, CPU, RAM, PSU and M2 SSD. Cooling can be air or "all in one water". I'd like to build him a good back bone and will be loaning him my old 1060 but eventually we will be upgrading to run a 2K monitor :)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hello all

I hope you are well, sorry for rekindling this thread but i am ready to pull the trigger :)

Below is what i have put together, my brother would like some RGB hence the MB , the last thing is a M.2 SSD, preferably 1TB and that uses PCIE4 with the X570.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £517.95 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Just a Sanity check before i hit the buy button :)

Many thanks

It's not worth getting a mobo for the tiny light on it at the expense of not having 16gb ram. The mortar b450 also has RGB support anyway!

You should get a cheaper mobo and 16gb of RGB ram instead.

If he's just gaming you're not going to see any difference between pcie 3 and 4 SSDs, let alone vs a sata SSD. This could potentially change in a few years with next gen consoles using faster storage but if this happens it would be better to just upgrade then, when prices are likely to have fallen
