New gpu's being released at the end of the year and alleged release of bulldozer chips this month, could be worth hanging on to see how these perform (if they exist :P) and tbh anything bought at this stage would be speculation. High end specs will see you well but prob best hanging off til it's been benched and see what the top performers are

Hi,

Approx outlook for the future:
Sept-Oct '11: AMD's bulldozer CPU architecture is being released.
End of '11 beginning of '12 AMD's HD7000 series graphics cards are rumored to be released.
Beginning of '12: Intel's Sandy Bridge-E (Socket 2011) is rumored to be released.
March/April '12 Intel's IvyBridge CPU's are being released.
Sometime in '12: nVidia's GTX600 series graphics cards will be out.

All rough approximations at the mo.

Edit:

If you are buying fairly soon then the release of Bulldozer will be the only thing effecting prices.
If it turns out to be an intel beater then we could see socket 1155 prices drop, if not they could go up.

Dunno what motherboard they use.

It's not bad in all fairness, but you'd save around £150, £200 self built. £200 gets you a nice screen, or flash preipherals (mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse, gaming headset).
