Do you have a GPU you could re-use until September? I’d definitely not put money down on something like a 2080S right now. Nvidia’s next gen cards are due out mid September ish.

240GB NVMe is tiny for a high end gaming rig. Installing Windows and COD MW would fill it, literally :p I’d get at least 1TB like the WD SN550.

Also save £50 on the PSU, can get the Phanteks 550w PSU.

Do you need 32GB RAM? Don’t believe there’s any benefit for streaming/gaming right now over 16GB...

I’d also look at getting the B550 boards Gigabyte Aorus Elite or the MSI Tomahawk both good choices.

No I don’t have a spare GPU mine blew up after a while it was old so I will need a new one, The next Gen will be definitely out of my budget.

I will edit my build and do 16GB Ram instead I know that will be enough saves the £. Will that PSU hold the setup as I’m out of date a lot has changed in PC builds now, Would I need extra wires or anything I feel like a newbie

For the £700 your planning to spend on a 2080 super you would likely get a card that gives RTX2080ti +10% performance from the new gen.

Yeah I know I really don’t know what to do as I need a computer for my streams and the next Gen of Nvidia is not coming out until September which is possibly nearly 2 months away or just under. :(

I'd probably go 2070S in the interim then if really need a new rig right now - keep some money aside if you can, then sell it on next-gen release and upgrade. Unless you find it does you well enough then keep it...

I'd go for something like this. You could save £20 and go for the original RAM kit you spec'd, but thought you was looking for some RGB with the case and AIO you'd already picked. There is a black RGB version of that case too if preferred that, but P400A is solid choice for the money with good airflow.

1TB NVMe as you'll want at least this for your OS/Games to run on. Then presume the 4TB HDD is for your videos, downloads, photos etc?

Also opted for the 650w PSU just in case you add more drives or the next-gen GPUs take up more juice than we think if you upgraded. Phanteks PSUs are made by Seasonic who are one of top manufacturers - 10 yr warranty, modular cables etc...

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,753.87 (includes shipping: £0.00)

I have a Ryzen 7 3700x and an RTX 2070 Super and I play games at 1440p and stream at 1600x900 and record at 1920x1080 without any issues at all.

I stream to Twitch using NVENC @ 6000Kbps and record using x264 set to CRF level 22 on superfast through OBS and everything works perfect (to be fair I don't have any overlays/webcam set up).

If you stick with the CPU, you could probably lower the encoding speed for better quality, but just wanted to throw in my experience with a card lower than the 2080s, and you can get a model of the 2070s for £200 cheaper, which might help for when next gen comes out?

Thank you guys. Yeah I’m just outdated on setups I used to know the inns and outs but now anymore so much has changed.

I do agree I may lower my GPU and sell it when the next Gen comes out and upgrade with money aside, Would I need any more cables or anything for the setup.

The 2070 Super I have uses 1 x 8 pin and 1 x 6 pin power, which would be included with either your original choice PSU or the one which Sparx recommended :)

Yeah I seen, I ain’t bothered about upgrading my GPU straight away I can wait a while as long as it handles my streaming and gaming for now I’m happy.

Yeah for streaming/gaming, no reason why you couldn't drop the 3900X to a 3700X CPU and save £140. The 2070S is a fantastic GPU for 1440p (have one myself) handles every game I throw at it @ max settings.

Then pocket all those 'savings' as such, then sell the 2070S in a few months when Nvidia next gen stuff is out for a 3000 series GPU. :)

And no you won't need any extra cables. You get everything you need with the components you buy.

The Power supply is out of stock would this one be okay.

Stock due 31/8 it's only end of the week :p

The Be Quiet one is good, but it's not fully modular and 5yr warranty. Phanteks has 10yr warranty and is fully modular.

If you can't wait then yeah go for the Be Quiet, depends how desperate you are lol

Tad overkill PSU, but of course it'll do fine lol

If you want an X570 board then I'd prefer the VRMs and aesthetics on the Gigabyte Aorus Elite - slightly better Intel NIC too over the Asus' Realtek one. But if you want Asus and that board then go for it, the VRMs on it are both very good still.

How'd you manage to go from the 3900X, to a few of us suggesting a 3700X would be ample, to you upping it even further to the 3900XT? Such a waste of money :p It'll do absolutely nothing for your PC lol. If you really want the many cores/threads, go 3900X. If you want a fantastic CPU for a chunk of change less, go 3700X.

Case is a bit of a random choice, but your preference and taste so ;)

Surprised you haven't chucked 32GB RAM back in the basket :o Lol

Okay I will change the motherboard, I really didn’t notice I picked the XT :D my basket reset and I had to do it again. I will stick with the 3900X.

I felt like putting it back in but no point 16Gb is good enough, So I want rgb at the top and bottom I don’t know give me some ideas of casesmy friend.

No no get the MSI if you want it :p Lol

I'd go for something like the Phanteks P400 Air case personally, good airflow and nice to build in. The P500 Air has just come out, not read much on that yet how much it's improved.

You've already got RGB on the AIO cooler and RAM too don't forget ;)

I will have a look all bright beautiful Colours haha :D

I actually just switched cases to the Phanteks P600s and I would HIGHLY recommend it. So much space to work with and the build quality is phenomenal.
