Slightly over budget, but you could probably re-use your cooler if it can handle a 3700X.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £722.95 (includes delivery: £7.99)

No, CPU is the right move for 1080p, unless you're doing path tracing :o

For 1080p, I would not.

If I had to save a bit: the 7800X3D.
If I had to save a lot: 9700X.
If I just wanted a "good enough" upgrade with plans to upgrade again later: 7600X (they're available as low as £150 now).

First one if cost is an issue and the second one if you got the spare money.

The AMP GH is built by Helly who Seasonic use for their lower-end PSUs and the warranty is 8 year (normally would expect 10-year for a gold PSU).

The HCG Pro is derived from Seasonic's Vertex, but has a 10 year warranty instead of 12 year on the Seasonic.

Only upgrade when you really have to. But upgrade CPU and memory. DDR memory is pretty cheap also

If you've got money to burn get something else, like better quality keyboard, speakers, joypad, joystick, steering wheel etc.
its going to be a new build. the only thing im keeping is a 4070ti super. ideally id like this new pc to last me a fair few years
