I'm planning on building a new pc here soon and was wondering if someone would mind checking over what i plan to buy just to make sure parts will be compatible & that i will have enough power etc etc. I will list below what i currently have in my basket, i'd greatly appreciate some advice

Thanks a lot!

Graphics Card - I will be using one i have already ( Radeon RX 570 8gb DDR5 )

I also plan on buying an operating system elsewhere

Do you really need an optical drive? Get a better PSU. Get a SSD. And you don't need a sound card unless you're serious about sound.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £566.05 (includes shipping: £11.10)

I've left off the case as that's a matter of personal taste.

Hello and thanks for your reply. I have now swapped out the power supply for the Seasonic S12II 520W '80 plus bronze' and swapped the HDD for a SSD although it does increase the price quite a bit (I also have an external USB hard drive). Regarding the optical drive, yeh i would like some kind of disc reader for DVD/games (I will enquire the USB ones)
Everything else will be compatible with each other without any issues? Thanks again for replies

Do not get that PSU (the Seasonic S12II 520W), it's an ancient design and over priced for what it is.

Spend the few quid extra and get a modern unit like one of the following:

I'd personally opt for the Bitfenix Formula.

As for the RAM, Ryzen likes faster memory, I would not recommend buying a 2400mhz set when the difference between that and a 3000/3200 is minimal. At the very least get a 3000mhz kit.

With regards original question, no to separate sound card.

TV or monitor with speakers will be fine over hdmi cable.

Headphones or speakers no problem via appropriate lead.

The timings are better on the Team Group RAM but the higher frequency on the Vengeance makes up for that , but you pay 40 quid more. I'd pay extra for the vengeance
