£66 - 11-13-13-35 Timings

£80 - 10-11-11-31 Timings

Cheers for all the help guys!

will be useing standard heatsink for now, til i get a nice case for a h100i, wont fit in a antec 1100 and the 750d just went out of stock!

With a H100i or similar you can use any RAM you want without clearance issues.

Edit..the H100i has just come up on today only deal.

I think its a sign from above!!:D

1 x Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 850w 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply (ST85F-G) £146.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £139.99
1 x Be Quiet Power Zone 850W PSU £129.95
1 x Antec High Current Gamer 850W Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (0-761345-06225-1) £119.99
Total : £549.52 (includes shipping : £10.50).

So many good PSU's on the market,

• The Antec is made by Seasonic and semi-modular
• The Bequiet is made by FSP and fully modular (FSP arent rubbish either)
• The Silverstone is made by Enhance electronics (never heard of them myself) review.
• The EVGA is a beast - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=346

But with something like the EVGA as it is so powerful if you dont do Crossfire and overclock the system then the PSU will run less efficient, a PSU is best run at around 50-60% load to get the best efficiency.

Thanks for that stu just hitting budget limit atm £180 left for psu and i will be running stock cpu cooler!

i will be running this rig on a 19" monitor at lower resolution that 1080p might be like 12xxx7xx cant remember as monitor will be next month.

do you think i could run the system on a Cooler Master B Series 700w with the lower resolution - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-332-CM&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1103

then next month i could get monitor and psu next month and a water cooler this month as i know haswell runs hot.

could that be a way to go?

Regarding the Cooler Master.

I'd use the stock cooler rather than buying a cheap PSU. It's not something you want to skimp on and there's nothing wrong with the stock coolers, they're just a bit noisier that's all, so if you can live with that for a while, I'd say that's the way to go.

Stulids Antec is a great choice but what will you do with the PSU when you upgrade and go crossfire, isn't it just a waste of £60 in the long run?

it would be, i already own the cooler master, thats the only reason i wanted to see if it would run the system at the lower res til next month, as id rather buy a god one rather than trying to get one for my budget thats left

I see, in that case the cooler master should run it fine.

It's just not the best make that's all, and if you were looking at buying a new one it wouldn't be a good choice.

Well if you already own it, then sound, use it for a single GFX card, but the PSU doesn't even meet the basic 80+ efficiency rating which is the lowest from what I can see (no certification on it)

80+
80+ Bronze
80+Silver
80+ Gold
80+ Platinum
80+ titanium.

next month im looking at either a 1440p monitor or 29" extra widescreen so could get a much better psu then!

Thanks for all the help guys!
