New PC Build

Hi,

Looking to build a brand new PC. I have everything else like monitor, mouse, keyboard etc. so all i need is the PC.

The monitor i have if useful info is:

LG 32" 32GN600-B 2560x1440 VA 165Hz 1ms MBR FreeSync HDR10 Widescreen LED Backlit Gaming Monitor​

I am a complete noob with pc parts, always bought prebuilds but want to actually build this one.

So what i kinda put together already from limited research online may be daft or overkill in areas (or even not compatible)

I had aimed for a budget of £2000 but the RAM pricing means i will ahve to budget higher i guess.

Anyway any help would be amazing, this is kinda what i put together so you have an idea of what i like.

You could save a fair chunk of cash by ditching the overpriced AIO for one of Thermalrights more reasonably priced AIO's such as the Grand Vision 360 or Hyper Vision 360. Not only do they show the CPU temp, they also show the gpu temp, cpu load and other bits of info that you can choose to show.

You could save even more because the x3d cpu's are more than capable of being cooled by a decent air cooler and again Thermalright is unbeatable on price/performance. The Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 or Phantom Spirit 120 Evo would be suitable or if you still want a screen that monitors the cpu and gpu temps and load the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital fit's the bill.

The AiO is frankly completely unnecessary, but since you were looking at an AiO with a screen it's a cheaper option with a bit of bling.

The HSF should fit the case, might be a tiny bit tight.

Thank you, my only other real concern which you will know more about than myself is the smaller cases.

How do they do for air flow etc. because its always worried me about them.

Absolutely fine, especially for gaming purposes. I've been exclusively using M-ATX form factor for my own rigs for around ten years now.

if you want a atx case, the vector v100 is decent for budget case (they do a matx version now also) also for a bit of bling the lian li 217 infinity (just done a build in that). Also used the phanteks nv5 which is super premium feel to me, though comes with no fans, which can be a good thing if you want to customise, but price trickles up of course..also put the pro xt in there as another budget case with fans

outlier for matx is the phanteks xt m3 case which is a bit slimmer than the cx600m (using an 011d case at mo and the duak chamber thickness is a bit annoying)

if going atx, just swap the mobo for the nitro+ atx version

I've used the Phanteks XT M3 M-ATX before and it's a fantastic case for the money.

I was going to suggest a Lian Li 216 and then you dont need to buy any case fans. Ive the same CPU and GPU in it and it keeps everything really cool with just the stock fans, thats with a thermalright air cooler as well. That would save a good chunck.
