I don't see what monitors storing electricity for, has to do with anything.i would say a monitor getting damp and a whole computer gettign damp are fairly different situations
also, monitors dont store much crage any more unless they are a CRT....then if you touch something you shouldnt your probably going to die
At the end of the day, my monitor will have a transformer circuit with smoothing capacitors. As do most/all computer supplies. Regardless of high or low their output is, at some point 240v is entering the monitor.
