I'm buying a new desk this week, as my old one is knackered. My current only has 60cm width which I always hated, but never had room for a bigger desk. Now that I have, lets bring in the big ones! I have some here from IKEA, which would you chose from these?

1. BESTÅ - £49.99

2. MICKE - £59.99

I like them without the KBM draws, as I prefer them on top. Only just started looking, so if you guys have any suggestions :)

I don't understand how folks can use a desk without a keyboard and mouse tray.
I need the keyboard etc at a certain level to keep things comfortable.
Are the desks at the correct keyboard height?
It is the one thing that has put me off buying some of these nice looking products and sticking with a computer desk thats 17 years old.

Stolen from my post in another thread, i like the look of these: (One being the besta)

EDIT: or even this one is probably closest: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40111124/
EDIT2: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10071172/ Saw this in another thread here, obviously you have to buy some legs and maybe pay for delivery, but that looks like a winner to me (especially that cheap)
Seem fairly large surfaces.

Same here.

Had this ugly thing for 7 years:

And it took me ages to find a nice desk to an extra long keyboard tray that could accommodate a G11 and a mouse.

rather than buy any of that id go down to B&Q or similar buy some sheets of material and buils od with your own spec get some castors and some drawer runners fixings etc more staisfying by far for an afternoons work tbh

I recently built my own:

Much tidier now, cables sorted out ect ect. All together, cost maybe £30? And I had TONS of spare wood left over from the off cuts.

Took me maybe 30 mins to build. Reason for building was that as you can see, in the bottom right is the gas meter, so had to improv with the desk legs. Now it goes from wall to wall, perfect depth and is solid!

I ordered the Micke, but changed my mind and ordered a worktop and 4 legs instead. Much bigger workspace.

When I actually saw the Micke in my local IKEA I knew I'd made the right decision. Worktop & legs 4tw.
