New PC Desk :)

I don't understand how folks can use a desk without a keyboard and mouse tray.
I need the keyboard etc at a certain level to keep things comfortable.

I used to use a tray, but I hate them, I feel more comfortable with the mouse and keyboard on top. I feel I have more room and with the right chair-desk combo, is quite comfy :)

rather than buy any of that id go down to B&Q or similar buy some sheets of material and buils od with your own spec get some castors and some drawer runners fixings etc more staisfying by far for an afternoons work tbh

I would love to build one but I don't have experience with woodwork, so it wouldn't be worth the hassle, but it would be fun.

Anyway guys, dropped into Staples, and saw some nice desks in which are not on their site. Expensive, but nice, which would you choose:

Crest Desk - £119.99

1350mm Width, 750mm Depth, 750mm Height.

Aspen Desk - £99.99

1100mm Width, 590mm Depth, 760mm Height.

Manilla Desk - £79.99

1400mm Width, 700mm Depth, 760mm Height.

I sat all 3 and they felt perfect. Ignore the draws as I wouldn't get them, like my leg room. I wasn't too fond on the Manilla because of the wood effect, but the other 2 were awesome. I have to say I like the Crest the most, felt perfect, but it is £120. Would you say it's worth it?

tbh i like the middle one with the drawer depending on how solid the bottom is you could use it a a keyboard tray if you took the front off. however the top one looks crisp and nice , are they pretty sturdy ?

oh btw my wood work skills are not amazing but i just like making stuff its not that hard to adapt things and you can customize your own designs

think youve got to go with what youi feel comfortable stting at in all honesty

They have a smaller version of the Micke Desk in the sale at the moment in Ikea:

Okay so its orange, but I don't have a lot of space or money and the desk I have at the moment is actually an old dressing table which I cant even have my funky PC chair under it :/

Does anyone actually have one of these at the moment (any size) are they any good? But then again for £18 you cant complain

The middle one was quite shaky upon further inspection today. The top one is nice, really sturdy and massive, feels awesome to sit in front of it, would be perfect for gaming. Me and a mate sat on it and that's 200KG and it never even flinched lol! So I think I'll opt for that one.

Also found the perfect chair with support and tilt and together they feel perfect, £200 altogether which also isn't bad, price of a graphics card really and it makes me more comfortable while saving my back and legs :D
