New PC first time build

well, if overclockers sell the bundle then it should, though if you have a cooler which is more to your liking you could call em and arrange for it to be installed instead.

about the case just check the case dimensions versus the cooler height
looking at the outer dimensions of your case - Dimensions: 207 x 464 x 504mm (W x H x D) it should fit. From corsair's page A50 Height : 160mm. Length : 120mm

Ok thanks man been a real help found a "silent" 750w PSU for £51.05 so taht should take care of every thing just added it all up and comes to £1021 thats with nothing else and just 1 GPC so should do the job but has the room for second GPC and could always up grade if needed

a PSU is not good because of its "high wattage outpu" but because of the good amps it can provide, low crippling noise etc. Please steer off any not known brand of PSU.

Remember, it will be powering your expensive units, you don't want to supply them with dirty power. It will shorten their life.
Also it will not output as said, usually they output on all rails including 5V and 3V which are not needed, due to most components needing only the 12V rail.
If it does go bust, it will take your components with it.

for the sake of your components stick with reputable brands.

If you liked the zalman you posted above, get the 750-850W unit, its very good, nice reviews about it, silent and efficient. Other brands you should stick with are Antec, XFX.

these three would be amongst my first choices, depends if you want modular or not. Go for modular if you are a perfectionist and want your cables tidy and some % of better airflow.
Go for normal ones if you don't mind the mess or are low on budget.

OcUK Crusade 750W Dual-Rail High Efficiency Power Supply

it won't.

reputable brands use better caps for more durability, better fans for silent operation, better AC->DC/DC->AC and output their wattage most of it on the 12V rail which is where your components will be connected.
Cleaner energy and more protection if something does go wrong.

Hi just logged back in to this and seen nothing has been mentioned as a change so im guessing that i made the right choice for the PSU great :)

So will following greywolfs guide on how to build a PC work for me?

8 gb of ram is overkill imo

I'm getting really sick of this term all over the web. It's always the same too. When some individuals don't want others to have it, it's deemed "overkill". So what.... Is there a law what a person can or cannot have?
