New PC for Modded Skyrim (Wildlander), Single player RPG, VR and MS Flight Sim

After weeks of analysis paralysis I think I am there with my build for the above uses. Any obvious flaws? My only thought was the SSD's. The 1TB is for the O/S - could I get away with 500GB here? The 2TB is for game storage and I thing a 2400 mb/s speed is ample according to JayzTwoCents?

Thanks - hadn't considered the 12400 so will give it a look. Something about the 6800 xt just appeals to me. Totally accept what you say about current market though

Wildlander is currently under maintenance and unable to be downloaded through wabbajack. I guess there is a workaround but I will try a different set of mods and have some fun.

Not sure if anyone knows but at moment I have a complete clean instal of Skyrim, do I need to instal SKSE before I run Wabbajack or is this now included with the mods as standard?

Wabbajack installs everything. FOllow the instructions and you are golden. Wildlander is incredible. And brutal!

Yes, I'd forgotten that. It was the last verstion of Ult Sky that used Wabba primarily. Can't wait to get my new rig built to play it. Got the finance sorted today. 0% for two years on purchases. Lovely jubbly.

Started buying my bits. Case arrives today (LianLi Mesh II Snow Edition) - just noticed the GPU I wanted has gone up in price Gotta be quick damn it!

Gigabyte 6800xt - gone up £30. The MSI 6700xt has also gone up. Hey Ho - is what it is. Pondering the Inno3D 3080 chill now. More expensive but the gap closer with the increase in 6800 xt. Finance should arrive in plastic form today or tomorrow so I’m closing in but can order other bits in the meantime

Thanks - yep that’s really helpful and I’d only consider the 12gb now I think. Hadn’t realised it had more shaders though! Bonus. What does the OEM version mean?

It gets worse. The Gigabyte 6800 XT is now out of stock Damn it. Spent too long speccing the system. Going to go and find a small guy and pick a fight.

Back in stock! Had looked at the 3080 12gb from Inno3D which OC have at 799 but I just think the 6800 xt is better value for a c3% performance hit according to tech power up. Turns out my monitor has AMD free sync pro as well so that’s clinched it. Still waiting for my credit card to arrive though
