New PC for Starfield?

Well, Bethesda do have a bad habit of making CPU limited games. Mainly because the engine threads badly - and that's not just a problem with the rendering engine but also their tendency to do all NPC AI tasks on one main thread.

Not just that, but yes I agree on that to, but I can tell you at 1440p 8GB VRAM will not be enough.

Even Fallout 4 (how many years ago now) was maxing 8GB, admittedly with mods, Fallout 76 maxes 8GB on my 3070 with no mods.

I am thinking my 3070 will struggle a bit, particularly with the texture settings up high.

If playing at 1440p anyway, I think you will need as a very minimum 12GB+ GPU.

I hate those system requirements things. People need to get angry about this.

What experience are they recommending for?

Low, Medium, High, Ultra?

1080p? 1440p?

60fps? 144fps?

What if I have 1440 144 and the info is not for that?

How do 4k people know what hardware they need?

I agree those published "recommended" specs are meaningless.

Agreed with the specs. many devs give requirements but fail to give res and fps. There are a few games that in fact do just that and have surprisingly been spot on with requirements based on that. However most devs do rely on 1080p 60fps for minimum and recommended. Again this is up to the devs to let you know.

WD Black SN770 m2 drives are fast and cheap

13600k might save u few quid vs 13700f?
aim for a 12/16gb vram gfx card

But as others say, wait till its out as who knows if specs are realistic and doesnt really need more or maybe less hardware for it.
