New PC, Not Working

Spec in Sig.... put it all toghether fired it up and my LCD aint getting a signal, noticed someone had similar problem in a thread below. tried all suggestions.... any ideas, i heard there were some issues with the Ultra-D

PSU not sufficient, or possibly it wants to use integrated graphics?? if there is one?
smells like a PSU problem to me

the Hiper 580w should walk it... everything powers up ok... all fans spinning gfx card sounds like a jet. but no signal going to monitor... no onboard gfx btw

There seem to be a lot of these 'no signal' threads, I wonder what's causing it. Sounds like the mobo to me.

you didnt mention the 580W! does the PC actually load up?? (even tho theres no monitor)
is there any activity?

cant tell. everythings spinning but thats about it.

just spent £1200 on a brand spanking new PC and cant do **** all with it

have you tried booting in safe mode? this maybe a resolution problem :confused:

but iirc it would say "Out of frequency" if it was that.

how do i boot in safe mode when theres no signal (at all) going to the LCD (i just get test colors, which i get when theres nothing plugged into monitor)

Not sure if your video card has them, but have you put the extra power connector in?

1st, you spent £1200 on a Barton 3200 with 6800GT

You have probably tried all this but ... recheck everything is seated correctly, all cables connected, especially those for power to mobo etc.

Is the internal speaker plugged in and are you getting any beeps?

Try with the minimum components (cpu, ram and gfx). Unplug everything not needed.
Try it with the mobo outside the case (it may be shorting).
