New pc...old hard disk

I built my new pc(which has its own new HD with windows), then i put in my old hd with windows on from my previous computer on in slave mode so i could copy some stuff across then format it.

The problem is, i can't see the partition with windows(old drive) on it, i only see the other partition on the drive. Is it possible to go into the missing partition somehow?

Do you see the slave drive coming up in post? Jumper set to slave?.
Also check disk management to see if the drive is there,but hidden.
I used acronis disk director to recover a partition windows couldn`t see,you can browse the hidden partition that way.
You could maybe give this free software a go

Failing that i`d put it back in your old pc along with a dvdrw and burn what files you need to disc before you format.
