(New PC problem.. again..)Transparent Horizontal lines moving up while running a game

Yet another problem, but this seems less major as before (i hope)

While playing a game, these transparent horizontal lines appear moving upwards.
Also while the game is open, when i tab out and go on firefox for example, these lines appear...

However when closing the game, this does not occur. For in-game, turning on the V-Sync on the game seems to resolve this issue, although temporarily.

-These lines become more visible in a black background.

My monitor: BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560Ti "448 Edition" WindForce 3x OC 1280MB GDDR5

I would be 99% sure it was a dodgy VGA cable.

A while back I had the same issue and the only way I found out what it was, was to change my cable to a DVI one which fixed the problem. Although I later tried a 'new' VGA cable and that too was fine.

I was having exactly the same problem. Switch to using a DVI cable, it works.

Same here, get a dvi cable, or new vga cable

gee guys thanks.. swapped it out for my old vga cable and the lines nearly non-existent!
I would've never thought oc would send another faulty product lol (well sort of)

Will look to buy an actual dvi cable eventually anyway, thanks

Definitely use a DVI cable, and the lines will disappear completely.
