New PC Problem Help

Hi i recently built my friend a pc. But when im trying to install the operating system it locks up and sometimes i get the blue screen of death which says

STOP: C0000221 Unkown hard error \systemroot\system32\ntdll

which i have no idea what it means.

Sometimes when i boot the computer i hear 1 long beep and 3 short beeps.

The os im trying to install is xp pro corp.

Things i have tried are putting my dvdrom into the computer and still it don't install.

Any help would be much appreciated

Sounds like the hard drive doesn't like it, find the diagnostic tool for your make of hard drive (details in the hard drive section) run that and see if there's bad sectors.

nah there aint bad sectors.

I disabled udma on my dvdrom and hardrive and that seemed to have worked.

When windows is copyying the files over i get another blue screen of death this time with different error.

i had

IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL

AND

PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA

its just one thing after another. Maybe i have faulty hardware

Can anyone Help!!!!!!!!!

could be faulty ram, if you have 2 sticks try it with one at a time or if you can get hold of another lot try that.
