New PC stuck on installing an old and an extra drive

Just bought new PC https://www.overclockers.co.uk/refract-gaming-ultraviolet-4k-pro-pre-built-gaming-pc-fs-1uv-ep.html from overclockers and a 4TB mx500 SSD drive to go in it as extra storage. I also want to transfer over an older hd from my old pc.

Struggling to work out where the cables go. Where are the SATA slots on the motherboard? Connected everything up at the hard drive end.

Been a long time since I last did this sort of thing.

Will be on the right hand edge of the motherboard. Usually under where the graphics card covers the board. I'm not sure which exact Asus b650 board is fitted otherwise I could have linked you too the user manual.

If you install something like cpuz or ccleaner speccy that might give the board model info. Failing that, go into the bios and that should say.

All sorted; also needed to format the new ssd to get it recognised. Thought i’d lost the plot on the SATA slots; wasn’t expecting them tucked away behind massive graphics card!
