Hi all,
I've just built myself a new computer and im having some small problems with Windows on it.
The spec is as follows:
I installed windows on it last night and then installed the Motherboard drivers (chipset, audio, amd live!, silicon raid). Then I did the GFX drivers.
After installing the NVidia chipset drivers though on log on windows seems to hang for about 3 minutes. CPU Idle at 99% nothing taking up RAM, nothing seems to do anything except CTRL+ALT+DEL which obviously brings up the task manager.
Then all of a sudden it comes back to life.
Now while its hung I notice that it hasnt yet loaded the network. (i.e. i cant see the icons in the taskbar) and when it comes up they load and everything is fine again.
I havent yet tried uninstalling/reinstalling but I will try that first. I have also been told to uncheck all the services etc in msconfig.
Now My Questions:
Is there anything else that I could try if either of those fail to work?
Has anyone else had the same issue? if so what have you tried...
