Ok looking at buying a new PC, will be buying it in two parts over the next 2 months.

Looking at getting the obvious at the end of this month, had a quick look and decided on the below for my build.

Anyone have any suggestions on what they would change or get rid of?

OcUK Tech Lab - V12 Watercooled Case - Corsair 800d - £375.00
Asus Z77 Maximus V Extreme Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) - £319.99
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - £245.99
G.Skill RipJawsX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17066C9 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit - £179.99

Total : £1,139.46

Thanks in advance

The rig will be mainly used for gaming yes, hoping that it will last me somewhere between 18 - 24 months.

Overall budget is going to be about £2000 this is just the first part of the build I will buy at the end of this month.

OK cool, is that definitely going to last, basically I want something that is going to future proof myself as much as possible and also have a decent OC potential, thats why I originally wanted it watercooled

Tamzzy pretty much spec'd the same parts I typically would for a rig with your budget. The only changes I would make is the motherboard, case, cooler and optical drive. The mobo to save a few ££ unless you want Thunderbolt, case is personal preference, the cooler as it is water-based so a tad quieter, the DVD drive because it is cheaper and I don't see Blu-ray as mandatory but this is down to your own requirements.

With an i5 Ivybridge, 16GB RAM, GTX 670, 2TB HDD and a 256GB SSD you will be flying for quite a few years..

definitely? idk, i cant forsee the future ;p
probably, yes i'd say with 95% certainty...

besides, cuz its so underbudget, you can always chuck in a 2nd gtx670 when the time comes, or just grab the next (or next-next) gen gpu

the th4 has thunderbolt, and h100 isnt really needed. nor would i call it a silent cooler (not with stock fans anyhow) and pump issues...well...do we even have to start? lol

yea, they'll be fine for overclocking. on air, expect 4.4 easily. 4.6 with a decent heatsink, 4.8 with a very good (60-70 quid heatsink)
