Hi all - I am trying to build a basic PC with some limited gaming capacity for my son with the following -

ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WiFi II ATX Motherboard
Ryzen 5 5600G
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Memory

I have built a few PCs in my time but this one will not post, the only indication of life I have is that the LEDs on the mobo are lighting up - these are only decorative LEDs and not diagnostics. I have tried using the bios flashing tool but as yet no fan and no bios screen. Any ideas on next steps?

Thanks

Just in case anyone has the same issue, which connector was it?
Sorry for late reply it was the ATX connection it was a stretch to use the existing leads supplied with the PSU so I used one from a different brand from my own build, it didnt work so had to get a bit creative with the PSU wires. I never thought it would be a an issue so surprised me.

You are lucky it did not damage anything.

Rule of thumb is to never to mix and match PSU cables unless you are sure the pinout is exactly the same.
