Hi and welcome to the forums

combo ram boards are a waste of time

just get a standard p5q

possibly look at investing in a corsair power supply

get pc2-6400 ram

and a 4850 graphics card rather than the 9800GT

possiby look at going for an antec300 case

but case looks are your call

the 300 does perform really well for the price though

I can vouch for this.. I have one and it doesn't like the higher FSB settings.. Also I swear by Corsair PSUs having installed them into client PCs as and when needed. Reliable and steady as a rock.

Again I've provided the Antec 300 to many of my clients. Including one i built yesterday. Basic but easy and solid to work with. Comes with pleanty of 120mm fan placements too.

if overclocking stick with pc2-8500 ram esp if you really want to push your CPU to its limits

if not overclocking or will settle for a relatively small overclock, get pc2-6400 ram.

Thankyou !!
Was a bit worried about the combo motherboard I had no idea if it was good or bad and as for the 9800GT..sorry old habit die hard. as for the case antec 300 will have to have a wee look at it.OH!! one more thing will all of this work on a 32 bit system ( running windows xp pro) have read to many bad reports about Vista and 64 bit systems and 64 bit in general and again in advance THANKYOU.

If you want to get the full 4gb of memory I'd go with 64bit vista. The problems seem to be behind the 64bit systems now, something I'll be upgrading to soon.

xp 32 bit runs well, but 64 bit vista will run better on a 64-bit based PC (as long as the software being run on it is compatible). I'd dual boot between 32 bit xp pro and 64 bit vista (if possible).

Thanks Guys
My PC mark 2 as follows

PSU come from a friend who for some reason has high regards for it...can't really say much about it seeing as he the one who getting me Vista Ultimate 32 bit at a knock down price. I know many have said go for a 64 bit system but the jury still out on that one. Maybe in 3 to 6 months time who knows but at least i'll have the PC to run it.
Again all suggestions welcome good or bad and again Thankyou.
