i basically no nothing about pcs, wana play dayz and a few others, just played football manager on my laptop for the last 10 years lol, once a get my additional graphics card im planning on overclocking the lips off it, concerned about the h60 but it will save room rather than a big fan cooler and be quieter once i replace the stock fan as its going in my bedroom

Few things.

For X-fire you are going to want a better motherboard, This one has the the second PCI-e lane running at x8, instead of x4.

PSU wise I would spend a little extra for one of these.

Better PSU, modular, but still with enough power for X-Fire 7870s.

Personally unless you are struggling for room I would go with an Air cooler, a mid size one will give similar performance to a H60 but at less than half the price. This one is on offer and has PWM fans so they should be quite when at idle.

im pretty much restricted to 266mm for the graphics card due to the case ive got, i beleive the x3 is 280mm as i looked at that one, and is 650 ok for xfire as the one i was looking at was 750w? not many people like them concealed cooling units from what ive read, ive got like a grand ish to spend

basically ive dropped the h60 and the mobo and put that mobo you both recomended and the fan cooler in the second post, works out the same pretty much

Looking at the case dimensions it will be tight but is should just about fit in. the cooler is 170mm tall and the case is 208mm wide.

antec one?
i dont think its even close to fitting

- Maximum graphics card length: 10.5” (266 mm)
- Maximum CPU cooler height: 6.1”(155 mm)

I would just get the True Spirit 120 instead. Its much smaller £5 cheaper and from the review I read it is only slightly hotter(1°C). Its also actually very slightly quieter at load.

Since you are going to replace the fans on an H60, may I suggest one of these instead.

Form what I understand they are the same unit as a H80 (thicker rad than the H60), but don't have the corsair logos or the stock fans.

Ask in OcUK customer service to confirm this, but I think there was a thread made about it the other month.

Edit: found the thread, it seem there are some differences though.
