I am thinking of getting a new phone I would like one with 3G and wifi what are my options I was thinking the Samsung Jet what are your thoughts on this phone i'd like to avoid the Iphone because i cant justify the price/contract?

Most, if not all smartphones have both 3g and wifi. What are you looking for in a phone? decent camera? Internet surfing? touchscreen??

I'm not too fussed about a camera just want a sub £200 phone with decent features, internet surfing would be usful and i dont mind a touch screen or not.

Have a look at the nokia n900. :p

You can buy the HTC Tattoo (Android OS based phone) for just over £200 sim-free, this is also known as the T-Mobile Pulse (edit: no it's not, that's another cheap Android phone!)

It's running Android with HTC's Sense UI that makes it really slick and easy to use.

It basically has everything you could possibly want
GPS
FM Radio
WiFi
Bluetooth

The web-browser is first class, and you can get access to a raft of applications via the Google Market place..

And download Co-pilot live from the marketplace(£19.99) which is fully fledged sat-nav software!

Honestly for £200, it's a bit of a bargain...

The Pulse is a Huawei U8220, nothing to do with HTC.....

Oops.. not sure why I was thinking that!

The pulse is only £149.99 (includes £10 top-up)... I believe it same type of spec as the HTC Tattoo, but a bit cheaper, but locked to T-Mobile (can be unlocked, but that'll cost).. It also doesn't have an FM Radio IIRC...

Thanks for correcting that mistake!

Nope, no Radio. The T-Mobile look on the phone isn't that great and you'll need to root and change to ROM to get it looking nice. Very similar but the HTC runs on Android 1.6 and also has the Sense UI which is a nice feature.
