I liked it very much indeed!

Stayed a few nights in Sliema and then a few in San Anton.

Highlights were the Co-Cathedral in Valletta and just generally wandering around Valletta, drinking lots of local wine, swimming in the Blue Lagoon and the tour of the Lascaris War Rooms (terrific guide).

I'm sure I'll return at some point!

At first I thought u meant ACTUAL San Anton gardens, and was going to say that ain't a hotel I live LITERALLY 1 minute from San Anton gardens/Corinthia hotel. We were so close to each other (no homo)

We bought a massive bottle of wine from Steve's Stationery (or something equally random sounding) in the local town and a load of food from Smart Supermarket to fill our fridge instead of pay high mini bar prices!

Steve's stationary is exactly near the parish church, opposite the swings and stuff. The other place you could have bought fromm is Mr. Goods or Tojolin (which is mainly a bakery).

I was nearly 17 stone at my heaviest, but am a more trim 13 ish stone now. Still need to lose the moobs though! Lol
