I am however, paler and abnormally taller than the average chinese which does make it slightly harder to guess my ethnicity :D

What I find is westerners don't have the knack for judging people from Asia in general. To them, anyone Orient = Chinese, anyone East Asian looking = Indian. I've met Russians called Chinese because she looks borderline Orient, despite her bloodline is at least 4 generation Russians (apparently her eyes is a give away as Chinese!)

Ask an average Joe off the street if they think Michael McIntyre is Chinese (or descendent of one), you'll see my point.
