What a nightmare this has been.
Basically my girlfriend has been wanting to play BF3, but she only had a
Q6600
3GB 667ddr2 ram
9500gs
and a cheap unbranded PSU.
-I firstly put in Corsair 4gb of xms2 DDR2 800Mhz ram
Worked fine.
Then put in my old 4850. Machine booted fine although any 3d rendering that was processed would cause coil squeal. Due to this I upgraded the PSU to a Corsair CX600W.
Fan spinning at 100% constantly. Machine works fine though. Basically sending this back as I have also found out it uses cheap chinese parts and does not have the build quality of the Corsair PSU's i have bought in the past.
My question is. Which power supply should I buy? The computer will most likely get a 560ti put in also around christmas or later on in the new year. So ideally I want a powersupply that is future proof.
Been looking at this. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-057-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1098
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
P.S Forgot to mention, ideally a power supply that is as quiet as possible. (If you have the PSU yourself and can tell me how loud it is that would be great)
