Ive had a memory card reader in my Antec900 since i got it and it has always worked.

I only use the CF and USB card slot in it. Since yesterday, it has stopped reading my card.

I have a USB stick in it, which i can access fine. When i put the CF card in, the light comes on on the reader, so it knows there's something there, but it doesnt come up in 'My Computer' and doesnt auto run.

Any ideas? :(

Thankyou PhillyDee

none of my other CF cards read, But ive just tried an Sd card and that read instantly.

what is a USB header, and how do i reset it?

Well, if it reads other cards, it looks like a problem with the slot. I had a similar problem.
Get a torch and shine it into the slot. There should be a lot of pins in there. Check that they are are aligned. I had a similar thing, and one oin was bent and pushed flat. I managed to get it restraightened and now it works fine. CF are good, but have way too many pins!

Cheers!

Ill have a look at that :)

Edit:

one of the buggers is pushed flat, god knows how it's done it. I cant get it out, so i suppose that means im going shopping now :(

It is possible, just persevere. Its knackered anyway, might as well try and give it a go. Recommend either:
Long nosrd pliers (Preferably electronics ones as they will have a fine point)
Tweezers
A pin
Paperclip.
You might just have to bend it enough to lift it up, and then give it a go with something better.

You could remove it from the PC, strip it down and then try and fix it.

i think the latter option of remove and strip is the most likely option. Tweezers wont get into it as the access to it is about the same thickness as the CF card :(

thanx for your help!
