What is a good PSU for my new build
Giga Z87 oc
I7 4770k
MSI 780 oc (might go SLI at a later date)
Watercooled
only a couple of SSD

Been looking at the Corsair AX860i as would like full modular

No. The 860i uses a Flextronics OEM.

So which would be the better option in your opinion. Getting the Corsair or the Seasonic 1050?

Not braided like a nice Bitfenix Alchemy cable, they have a simple mesh sleeve over each cable, you can see pics of the cable bundle in these review links,
