Hey all,

Just installed my new 750W Modular corsair PSU and am having a strange issue where whenever i shut the computer down it automatically restarts no matter what I do e.g. shut down via start menu, power button from windows, power button from BIOS etc. I put my old PSU back it and the issue goes away.

The motherboard is an abit IP35 Pro

Ideas anyone?

Have some vague recollection of this problem. Check whether 'WOL' is enabled in the bios. Bizarre, but worked for me.

Different brand or model
Seems to be limited to the modular corsair PSUs.

Hmmm, I was thinking of replacing the motherboard and CPU anyway and have a bit of money left over at the end of this month. Should a different motherboard remedy this?

I would guess it would, though perhaps worth a quick google for any problems with the new mobo and your corsair PSU before ordering. :)

Went for the Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard after some googling which turned up no issues

Thanks for the help!
