new psu?

hi there

i have an xp 2000+ agp system at the mo and want to upgrade to something a bit more modern pcie etc.
will my current psu an enermax noisetaker EG495AX-VE(W) (24P) be ok?
thinking about intel e6550, maybe an ati 3870, 2 harddrives, soundcard and thats about it.

Should be OK as long as you don't overclock or go the crossfire/SLi route mate.

i wont be overclocking or sli etc, but if im going to be borderline then i think i might go for an upgrade

Its a good quality PSU mate so If it was my machine, I'd be happy to run it. As I said though, you'll need to upgrade if you add any extravagancies such as loads more HDD's and dual GFX/ Quad core CPU's.

To give you a rough idea, I ran the system in my sig on a Tagan 580 for 3 months with no major problems.
