New RAM, new overclock?

Hi,

So I've had a stable 3.8Ghz overclock on my I7 920 using a MSI X58M for a while with OCZ Platinum 6GB DDR3 ram.

I kept running out of RAM, I need to use a lot of VMs for work, and I don't like to mix components. As I had to send my OCZ RAM ( Actually, it was Gold originally ), back to OCZ a total of 4 times, stopping me using my desktop for weeks during exam periods before they eventually upgraded me to a platinum kit as a sorry which finally worked, you can imagine I don't want to buy any more OCZ Gold / Platinum / anything. On top, my recent OCZ flash drive with it's nice rubber case lasted just under 3 days before not even being detected by any system. I am sure they do some good quality things, but... for me, no thanks.

So.. instead of looking for more OCZ platinum, I bought 24GB of Corsair Vengeance here ( Linky )

I assume I will have to start my OC all over again, which took me a while last time. Or, perhaps is there any likely way I can just load up my current OC profile and then adjust it?

If not, perhaps I can use this thread to start out OCing again and would much much appreciate any help. It should arrive tomorrow AM.
Another question I have, is: Is there any need for memory cooling or is this really not going to make any difference other than noise? Granted they look good, but... I've don't think i've ever had heat issues with memory?

Thanks for any advice!

Steve

P.S, I understand more RAM is likely to mean less OC, but I'm fine with that, 3.8Ghz isn't necessary, but now running on stock 2.6Ghz this moment, I can see the difference. Anything 3+ is good. I have a Corsair H-50.
