Hi guys,
I have a HTPC that was getting quiet slow, so i bought a stick of 2GB PC5300 ram to match the rest of it.
The original ram is 2 x 1GB sticks, the new ram is 1 x 2gb stick.
When i put the new ram in the PC will not give anything on the screen.
When i take 1 stick of the old stuff out, and leave 3gb in, it works fine.
Ive noticed when the pc is loading it shows dual channel mode, is this a problem when adding a 3rd stick? or how can i resolve this problem.
I'd like to take full benifit of the 4gb.Its mainly for media and some word processing and little bit of WoW.
Specs
E4500 C2D
Win7
Geforce 7600
Foxconn mobo (supports 4gb)
