Hi guys
Recently bought this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-290-CS

I have a 4GB RAM currently (corsair dominators) and wanting to upgrade but when I install this new memory the computer will power up but I cannot get a display. I am using HDMI.
I have already RMA'd ones previous to these so getting frustrated now.
I'll try and give as much detail as I can for just now:
Motherboard- ASUS M4A77TD-PRO
Processor- AMD Phenom II Black edition (unlocked with unleashing mode to 4 cores)
Power Supply- Antec 550W
Current memory- Corsair dominators 4GB (2x2GB) 1600 1.65v
Starting to think that the memory is not compatible with this motherboard or something, however the tech support guy said they should work on that board.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply
Nah mate took the old RAM out and placed them into the DIMM B1 and B2 slots where the old stuff was previously.

So I take it the current RAM boots and works fine however the new RAM doesn't.
Can you boot without the RAM in?
Can you try each individual stick of RAM in all the motherboard slots?

Tried booting without no ram but wont power on :(
tried using only one stick at a time and still not working sadly
Yeah mate using my old RAM again.

Well on my board i have to put the first 2 stick into slot 1 and 3. Any other combo didnt work for me. Use 4 sticks now, but just remembered that. Do you have a memok switch?

Hi
Will try to put the sicks in the 1st and 3rd slots when back from work. Tried that though in the RMA'd ram that I had previously to no success though.
Dont recall having a memok switch on the board but will have a look and let you know.

Tried every possible combo using the 4 PCI slots, also reset to default in my bios so that unleashing mode was disabled and still nothing :(
Guess this memory doesnt like my board/processor
Before I phone up to RMA does anyone have any ideas what memory WILL be compatible with my setup? Really dont want this to happen again lol

No idea why it didn't work for me mate :/ wonder what the chances are that I have had 2 lots of faulty memory sticks. Anything else that I should have tried and was overlooking?

According to your manual, for 2 sticks of ram you should be using slots A1(1) and A2(3), as Leeroy has mentioned. Your board does not have Memok.
