new ram works with 2 sticks in and not 4 ??

ive got the standard intel one on, dont think it can be overtightened,
and ive already updated the bios.
is there no setting associated with filling all of the slots ?

I had this issue with my current build, when i had 4GB in it worked fine, but then after putting the final 4GB in it would blue screen whenever I tried to do anything... My solution was to reinstall windows. but I dont know why that fixed it or how...

you sure you aint got a faulty ram slot on the board then? i take it your testing in slot 2 and 4 for 2 sticks at a time, but the fault may be on slot 1 or 3

i checked them in 1 , 3 and 2 , 4.
ive put all the settings in the bios either back to the original or on auto and its booted but im waiting to see if i still get blue screen when i try and do anything

Try 1066mhz for the ram speed, or as near to it as you can get.

I have 4x2gb OCZ 1600mhz sticks which all work randomly at 1333 or 1600mhz on my Asus P7P55D motherboard.

If I lower the ram speed to 1066mhz, they work perfectly.
