New rig - Slight problem

Hello all, this is my first post so I'd like to say Hi! Now down to business.

I recently just had a new gaming rig built, but I've got a problem that only occurs when running " some " games, everything else is fine.

When playing some games after about 10 minutes the visual quality drops, I then alt tabbed to desktop and everything looks a little bit blurred. After closing the game(s) everything goes back to normal....I'm pretty sure this must be a software fault otherwise it would happen consistently.

I have checked out my GPU Temperatures, 30-35C when not playing anything, and average of 50C ish when playing games. Every component in the computer is new, the only thing that is old is my monitor which is a 22" Siemens L22W-9.

All my Graphics card and Motherboard drivers are up to date as well.

Some specs of the new PC are:

ATI Radeon 5850 HD
Intel Quad Core I5 CPU 2.67Ghz
4GB Corsair XMS3 1600mhz DDR3 [ waiting for other 4G to arrive ]
ASUS P7P55D Evo Mother board

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I beleive I may have found the problem, I was running on a 22" Siemens L22W-9.

I've just tried hooking my PC up to my 32" 1080P HD TV and the problem has totally stopped, does this seem feasable that my monitor might just be a bit ****ed? Or maybe the card is too powerful for the monitor?

more likely something wrong with your monitor not because of your graphic card is to powerful.
