CP-126-AM AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4200BVBOX) (CP-126-AM) 1
MB-111-AS Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-111-AS) 1
MY-046-GL GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3

Go for intel core 2 duo, its better bang for buck than AM2. Add this to your spec or go with on of the core2duo bundles.

CP-126-IN Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-126-IN)
£114.99 £114.99
MB-061-GI Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-061-GI)
£91.99 £91.99
MY-058-GL GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) (MY-058-GL)
£173.99 £173.99

Also switch your cooler to a 775 one. I would recommend a scythe ninja or infinity.

Hes not buying AM2 thts S939 m8 ;)

And yes Intel Core duo is better atm :) could take a gamble for AM2 socket but no point may as well go core duo.

tbh i would spend most of the money on the motherboard (are you going to be overclocking etc?) better memory .. even a better CPU ...

no not going to overclock it it just seems that intel core 2 seems really expensive .

Not true. E6400 will outperform x2 5000 and only costs £10 more than the x2 4200 u want to buy. The E6300 will in fact stomp on a x2 4600 and is cheaper than the x2 4200.

My recommendation will be an influenced one due to the fact that I have a Gigabyte, but essentially its what features u want on the mobo and what you are prepared to spend.
