New router for FTTC

Seems like a right ***** ISP to me, I bet they skimp on customer bandwidth and they don't even send out a router to use the service.... lol

Are you within the cooling off period? as I would be looking for a new isp tbh.

Well we was only 2 months into an 18 month contract when we upgraded to this package, so I'm not sure where it goes from there. We initially upgraded back in June but after multiple openreach apparent "engineer visits" - which were not made, it has ended up being now when it got finally installed.

well plusnet get a good rep but im having issues with them ATM , had fibre installed 2 and a half weeks ago and speeds have decreased ever since, started off on 30down 2 up , but slowly the speed decreased to 11down 1.8up , i called them and they sent an engineer out , he arrived saturday morning had a quick look and said "oh" plusnet have booked a telephone engineer and you actually need a broadband engineer......

Fast forward to today and the BB engineer turns up, he says yeah i reset the profile or summat blah blah blah and should be fine now and he buggers off, i do a speed test and the speed is exactly the same ! 11down 1.8up :(

called plusnet they said they can see the engineer didnt actually do anything and they will contact his manager...

I've noticed my speed has gotten slower again this evening, yet again. Currently at 9.50Mb/s

I agree with Chris, there is going to be no fix for this, that graph reeks of over subscription to me.

Cancel the contract on grounds they're not supplying a service you're paying for. If they fight which I expect they will - get ofcom involved and things will start to move quickly.

For what it's worth this is my Plusnet graph. Not sure what's going on in the evening, I was under the impression the slight peaks had been fixed. Not that I notice anything different anyway.
