new samsung 970 wont boot

hi all,

i have installed a new m.2 samsung drive, asus a320 m-k motherboard , ive cloned my old hardrive to the samsung 970 drive all done with Macrium Reflects software , the samsung drive has all the files on it that my old hardrive has so all looks good , but i cant get it to boot from it, please help, am i missing something , i even tell the bios to boot from it but nothing just goes back to bios screen

It will be something to do with the boot record, but fixing is tricky and usually involves a lot of trial and error in my experience.

Check out the info in this thread. I recommend disconnecting the old hard drive entirely while making any attempt to repair, to avoid accidentally changing something on that one.
