New second HDD shows as new volume is that correct?

I just installed a second SATA drive to use as storage. It has a drive letter associated with it (F) but also the words New Volume. I have tried cutting and pasting pictures from my primary drive and that works ok, So is all well?

When windows sees a new volume it labels it as New Volume - you can change that to whatever you want.
