New setup for January!

Those wires look hideous, and the positioning of the equipment on the wall is totally obscure.

Chase the wires into the wall, then put the boxes and amps in a closed cabinet to the side of the sofa, with an infra red remote sender to control them.
Then, and only then, would I call that a nice setup.
Understandable having the pc on view though, that thing is damn cool.

Like the setup although I think I'd personally have mounted the shelves lower and also I assume you can turn off the lighting on the PC as it may be a bit distracting whilst watching a film. As you've said it'll look better once the cables are out of view and those shelves look mint.

Being a PC gamer and also having a wife that may need the TV to watch b******s on I find its better to be able to have a separate gaming system although if I was in a bachelor pad I suspect the setup would be different.

The screen looks really good too although I went for a HD projector to try and capture the cinema experience.

i would take a 30 inch dell over that every day of the week tbh

full hd?

so 1900X1080 then?
compare that to 2560x1600

you would be onto a winner with that

plus the wireless input devices and gaming lag on the screen

not ideal considering your desktop is full of shortcuts to online fps games where quick input makes the difference

my point still stands that you may as well have a playstation and not a gaming pc

also why is there a dodgey kink in the tube linking your two GPUs?

is it just the camera angle or is is actually a kink?

That all looks really decent. Nice setup! However, there is no way on God's Earth I could game without a desk infront of me to support my arms and I just couldn't handle wireless. (My mouse is atm but the receiver is about 6" away from the device :D)

Other than that, I'll swap ya? :D

RJK thanks for the comments and tbh i really dont get any lag not that i notice anyways. Also the tube between the 2 GPUs is not kinked its just the angle, they are different waterblocks. ive attached some pics of it with my other setup which use more than this for gaming anyways.

Id say around 40K +

If ya work hard and play hard isnt that what we all aspire to ? I do anyway :D

Oh and some nice gear you have their, well done!

Whilst it would have been nice to have a case that mirrored your separates I think the while thing is a very nice setup :)

What a cracking setup!

Can definately sense some of the jealousy from a few people who've posted!

Just wondering, how do you find using the TV as a monitor? I've been thinking about doing something similar (though not as big a TV).
