The advantage of 215/35 R19 on the Golf is that it closely matches the rolling diameter of the original 225/40 R18 tyres, 0.64% different (smaller). The more common 235/35 R19 comes in at 1.54% larger diameter, which I've noticed myself from personal experience seems to make tyre fitters nervous, even though various web pages recommended staying within 3% will be acceptable.
Anything bigger than 235 will likely run into rubbing problems on the R32, either with the springs or the arch.
Wheels look great, not sure black suits the car colour though, white would look better. How are the Proxies? They seem to get mixed reviews, I certainly won't be buying any after what i've read.
just put some fuel in, and now the car is clean and in a better light i think they look a lot better. i will take some pictures tommorow with decent camera and then you can tell me what you think.
yea, feels slightly higher - which is strange, as as we have already discussed the size difference after all aint that much?
its nimbler to steer, but having said that its understeering more - i think that could be the horrible weather + brand new tyres that aint had the top scrubbed off.?
