Getting Michelin Pilot Road 3s fitted today

I don't particularly like riding in the rain, but enjoy the challenge or riding on wet roads!![]()
got them on my 999s and as above really good tyres. but cant comment on wet as bike isnt allowed out of the garage in the wet.
Everyone agree these are good in the wet? I assume most tires are OK in the dry?!
How much did you pay?
There have been three times when I have accelerated in the wet and the back end has gone out and I nearly crapped my pants, so I was looking for some new tires.
From my limited experience, roadsmarts and pilot road's on my CBR... hard acceleration in the wet will spin the back wheel, its wet, and there aint much weight on it.
Maybe you need to look to be more gentle with the throttle in the wet instead![]()
Just out of interest why would you put a sports touring tyre on the 999s?
