New Silverstone Case!

rv02rside.jpg

There is a lid which is not shown on this image which acts like a bonnet on a car and hinges up for the cable fitment at the top.

Would make a really clean setup with all the cables bunched/braided together at the top and not dangling off the back of the case. Not to mention is looks AWESOME in white too!!

Looks very nice and they fitted hot swaps like in the FT02.

Got to love the build quality of silverstone cases :)

Those cables going up to the top near the rear of the case are connecected to 3 switches for low/high fan settings

The Psu gets a cool supply of air though the filter on the rear and exhausts straight up and out the case.

These are really cool cases, but never heard about this company before... anyway I like it very much... You can use any cathode lights to make is more good looking and decent.

Shame Silverstone don't make that case in silver & no window in it (Don't need a window where I put my PC case) I would consider it as a replacement then.

Silver cases do not sell at all. The only people who really make silver cases are Lian Li and they don't sell in Europe at all.

Very nice case, looks very similar to my FT02 case.

Silverstones RMA stinks mind, ive recently had to buy a replacement 180mm fan from someone on these forums as Silverstone refused to help me and said its the Retailers responsibility.
I was even willing to pay for a replacement fan,but they wouldn't help

Like OcUk stock the actual case fans for the Silverstone cases:rolleyes:.

Apart from that, they are superb cases and are made to last.

The cooling on these cases are superb, you wont find a better case for air cooling!

Silver cases don't sell? Surprised at that, must be why mine was such a pain to find, but I've always used silver cases.

Oh. didn't know there was no market for them. I've bought several silver cases over the years including:

Silverstone LC16 & TJ08, now the proud owner of a LC17
Themaltake Tsunami Dream
Antec p160

I've always found that black cases attract dust like wasps to Jam.

No no no. Don't want a white case as my optical drives are now all black!

I'm also not totally sold on the rotated design. I thought I once read about an issue with this case and graphics cards. Specifically that vapour chambers don't work as well mounted like this or something? Or is that old new and now known to be wrong?

Other than that, it does look quite nice.

I use a 580gtx which has a vapour chamber and It's fine. When I've compared my temps with other peoples in standard ATX cases mine are usually the same or sometimes 1-2 degrees lower.

Vapour chambers are fine, it was older non 'wicked or sintered' heat-pipes where the internal fluid was affected by gravity. New ones use capilliary action and work at any angle.
