Didn't think it had continuous video AF but after a little reading it does although it's apparently a bit sucky.

Don't get me wrong, as a DLSR, I think the 550D is fantastic and I've been extremely happy with the photos I've taken with it. I just wouldn't recommend it as a video recording device over an auto focusing model, Canon, Nikon or otherwise.
