So after 13 years.. it’s time to replace the old 2 seater sofa with a corner sofa. The issue we have is we have one side that can’t take the normal ~270 length so we’re limited to a 1x3 corner sofa with smaller arms.
I’d love a chesterfield but the arms and back would not fit. So we ended up with this:

Looking forward to it :)

The TV is a corner, not on a wall. It's reason we're limited to about 42" max TV, the current is 37" but the border brings it to ~40". The TV isn't the focus of the room - people and talking is. Annoyingly one wall has a radiator against it and we didn't want to put a sofa with it's back to the radiator.

The corner sofa simply means we don't have wasted space. The previous house owners had two sofas and the space between them on the corner did have a table but they lost a lot of space to the width of the arms (also they had a black sofa hence looked like it was sucking the life out of the room along with the dark cabinets).

Thank you, it’s been along time in the pipeline across lockdown, job loss and return to work so finally pulled the trigger.
Now to dig out the old paints to redecorate!
We will try selling the old sofa and if it gets close we’ll freecycle it. They wanted £89 to recycle the old sofa.

Try your local charity shops, there's some near me that will come and collect it for free or a very small fee if they can sell it in their shop!
